The LSU is a supportive working room for pupils who need some additional assistance to progress in their studies. This support is led by our Learning Support Unit Manager, our Behaviour Intervention Support Manager and our team of Learning Support Assistants.

A positive working and welcoming environment ensures that boys can work independently or with assistance to ensure they reach their maximum potential. There are many uses for the LSU and these can include catching up after a period of illness, a broken limb, a diagnosed specific learning need such as dyslexia or dyspraxia, a temporary or permanent social need, an emotional need or small intervention groups around a particular subject area.

Outside agency meetings are also held within the LSU and these agencies may include CAMHS, Educational Psychologists, Social Care or Education Resource Team.

Referrals to the LSU can be made by teachers or the boys themselves.
