Getting Online at Home
If you have a Windows 10 PC, you may want to follow this clip for how to get onto a Remote Desktop Session.
We provide full access to the school desktop remotely using Windows Remote Desktop. Either type rdsh.westhillschool.co.uk into the address bar of your web browser or click the image below:
Log in with your network details and select West Hill School (remember to include "westhillschool\" before your username):
You may get the warning message below, this is a windows security feature, click on Connect.
A second login box may come up - you must type your username in with the school's domain name like this: westhillschool\username where username is your network login username. If you don't put "westhillschool\" before your username, it will keep reloading the login box.
The Pupil Desktop will be displayed which is identical to the one used in school.
If you have problems connecting download the latest Microsoft Remote Desktop and install it

*Please be aware that the version of Microsoft Remote Desktop available on the Apple App Store is not compatible with versions of IOS below 13.0!
Microsoft Remote Desktop Configuration
Configure Remote Resource
Once you start the client software, you should see…
Click on the + icon in the top right of the screen
You should then see
Select Remote Resources
This will then display
Click in the field to enter the URL of the Remote Portal
For West Hill School, this is
The program will prompt you for credentials
Either select Add User Account
Enter your credentials in the form:
westhillschool\<username>
<Password>
Click Save
You should see Desktops and Apps tabs near the top, select Desktops:
Click on icon called West Hill School, this will start your remote session.
