One of our vision statements reflects our continual focus on improving facilities for all. Returning after the break for the final term, the boys will be aware of some positive changes on site. Scaffolding is now in place, as the project to improve the external fabric of the school buildings takes shape. This will continue for the rest of this term, with an intended completion date of mid-August. So whilst there will be some disruption during the works, the investment of £3/4 million, will certainly benefit us all.
Plans are also now confirmed to convert our Conference Suite into a library and this will be a real boost to our literacy drive. The Library will provide a facility for boys to access not only during designated lessons, but also prior to the official start of the school day, as well as breaks, lunches as well as a further enhancement to our extra curricula offer after 3pm.
In addition, within subject areas, there are new display boards providing quotes and images reflecting the subject identities. These have been produced in conjunction with epetch printers, and link well with the wider messages around school, reminding the boys of the value we place on our environment.
The boys have been also been very positive regarding the dining experience they have had with our new caterers. An impressed thumbs up have been the initial impressions this week, and there will be further additions to the provision later this term that the boys will appreciate.
