Guilty!... of being informed and inspired by the wide range of career pathways and essential skills that can be developed through the study of Criminology and related subjects.

Thanks to the XL Academy at ASFC, a group of Year 10 students participated in a ‘Crime Scene to Courtroom’ day on Friday, 31st January 2025.

During this interactive and hands-on event, students worked through the stages of an actual murder case. They used information, evidence, intelligence, and forensic science results to make critical decisions and take actions that guided them through a detailed investigation, which culminated in a mock Crown Court trial.

Along the way, the students were introduced to a variety of careers in fields such as policing, emergency services, forensic science, law, and the judicial system. They also gained practical experience in essential skills, including communication, teamwork, critical analysis, problem-solving, and public speaking.
