West Hill MasterChef Final 2024

Our boys put their chefing skills to the test.

The West Hill School MasterChef competition's final took place on Monday, 8th July this year. Two qualifying heats were conducted for students from Years 7 to 9, with five boys advancing to the final round.

Facing tough competition, three students from Year 7, one from Year 8, and one from Year 9 secured their spots in the final.

Each finalist was allotted two hours to prepare, cook, and serve two dishes for the judges' consideration. The dishes were evaluated based on the complexity of the skills shown, the presentation, and, importantly, the flavour.

The calibre of this year's competition was exceptional, showcasing a diverse array of culinary talents.

We extend our congratulations to all the young chefs who participated and our gratitude to the staff members who served as judges.

The victors of this year's contest are as follows:

James from Year 7 took the top spot in the West Hill MasterChef 2024. Caleb, also from Year 7, was awarded a well-earned second place, while Sam, from Year 8, claimed third place.

Each participant was honoured with a commemorative wooden spoon and a certificate, and the top three winners were additionally presented with a gift voucher.
