Thank you for entrusting us with the next stage of your son’s educational journey.
The move from primary to secondary school is an exciting one filled with high hopes, dreams and aspirations.
Likewise, we understand that for some students, the change can be a time of uncertainty and worry.
At West Hill School we have a team dedicated to ensuring your son’s transition is as smooth as possible. We hope that the information in the New Parent Handbook below gives you some guidance on what to expect from school, but also the responsibilities of students and their families.
New-Parent Handbook
The new-parent handbook is the go-to document for new parents and carers to explore the way our school operates and the expectations we have of our students. There is also a useful common questions section at the back of the booklet.
Transition Events

| Transition Day - for Year 6 students | Thursday 3rd July 2025 | Students will meet their Form Tutor and experience the day-to-day running of the school, as well as meet their new peers. |
