Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)
Virtual Learning Platform
West Hill School uses Moodle to provide its Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). The VLE is used to structure and coordinate much of the learning students do when accessing the curriculum online.
Through the VLE, a variety of learning resources and activities are available. Many subjects now collect work from pupils via the VLE, where the work is assessed, feedback provided and students able to resubmit an improved piece of work.
Moodle itself is accessed via any web browser at https://vle.westhillschool.co.uk, so can be accessed from a Smartphone, tablet or computer; providing direct access to learning resources for pupils.
When remote learning is required, the VLE provides the structured curriculum content that pupils need to direct their learning and when required Microsoft Teams may be used to provide interactive contact with staff.
