Greater Manchester Athletics Championships

This weekend's championship delivered some remarkable results.

Outstanding athletic achievements were recorded on Saturday, 8th June 2024, at the Greater Manchester Championships:

B Kenyon-Betts completed the 3000m race in 9 minutes and 31 seconds.

A Taylor-Walk finished the 1500m in 4 minutes and 51 seconds, while F Slattery completed the same distance in a commendable 5 minutes and 7 seconds.

P Wiley secured first place in the Pole Vault with a leap of 2.85 meters, earning a spot to represent Greater Manchester in the English Schools' Competition. In the Intermediate boys' category, C Park took second place with a jump of 3.75 meters, followed by O Sherris in third, clearing 3 meters.

J Hill triumphed in the Junior boys' Triple Jump, landing a remarkable jump of 10.98 meters. Meanwhile, in the Javelin event, L Rhodes clinched first place with an impressive throw of 47.59 meters, also qualifying for the English Schools' Competition.
